Keeping me on track

Created by Michael one year ago

I first met Martyn when I came to Captain Wilson' digs in Aber after a reckless term nearby. We immediately got on,along with Pete B and David F,having a shared interest in sport, travel, and the odd visit to the pub! Martyn had a real sene of humour, and above all maturity and common sense -much needed by an easily led reprobate like me.He actually got me to focus on my studies! After University we kept in touch as I was teaching nearby to Rugby,at first Arley, then Hinckley. My wife Christine always thoughtMartyn was reliable and the best of my friends and a good influence, unlike one or two others who shall remain nameless! I was honoured when Martyn asked me to be his best man at his wedding.Since the late sixties we have remained in touch sharing our experiences, etc.Martyn will be sadly missed. He had quite an influence on my life.
